Karađorđeva šnicla

This is an impressive looking dish that is sure to please all.  It comes together pretty quickly, but looks like you spent hours on it.  Take a pork cutlet flatten it, layer it with kaymak  (something like clotted cream), ham, and cheese, I used muenster cheese since it melts so well.  Roll it up into a log, secure with toothpicks, bread it, then fry it. Top with tartar sauce, serve with french fries, and you have a winner!

Ingredients

a bit of salt

200 g pork fillet

150 g breadcrumbs

3 eggs

100 g kaymak

100 g flour

100 g yellow cheese

80 g ham

3dl of oil

Preparation

You can hit the steak with a meat hammer between two sheets of plastic and prevent it from breaking.

Cut the cheese into strips. Put the ham and the cheese strips on a side of the steak. Put the kaymak on the cheese. Roll the fillet and twist the ends through the inside.

Beat the eggs. Pass the fillet through flour, after that, through the beaten eggs and, finally, breadcrumbs.

Pour the eggs into a container that is long enough to dip the fillet into the eggs without problem.

Pass the steak through the eggs and bread crumbs once more. The breaded will be richer in this way. The meat should be pressed a little between the keys to gather the ingredients. Heat oil in a deep bowl and fry the fillet over medium heat for about 20 minutes, until golden brown.

Serve the hot steak with fried or cooked potato and tartar sauce.
