Chicken with Coffee Sauce
I’m not a coffee drinker but now I am a coffee chicken eater. This recipe was super easy and delivered up big taste. The instructions did not say how long to marinate the chicken so I went with two hours which seemed to work well. The exterior of the chicken becomes beautifully glazed to make an attractive plate.
Ingredients:
6 Skinless chicken breasts
1 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tsp barbecue sauce
½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup brewed coffee
1 tsp brown sugar
Cooking method:
Marinate the chicken with the oyster sauce. Add seasoning for taste.
In a pan, heat the olive oil and fry each side of the chicken until cooked. Ensure chicken is well done on both sides. Set aside to cool off.
Using the same frying pan, fry the garlic then add the barbecue and Worcestershire sauces. Also add the brown sugar and the brewed coffee. Let it simmer for about two minutes.
While it simmers, add the chicken and coat it with the coffee sauce. Let the sauce caramelize over the chicken pieces.
Serve immediately. You can have it with rice or pasta or potatoes.
